Your ERA of Balance and Thrive
Restore serenity with gentle acupuncture
Acupuncture helps relieve pain, ease muscle tension, and support the body’s natural healing by stimulating specific points that activate the nervous system, release endorphins, and improve circulation.I also use complementary modalities to enhance these effects:
Cupping – Creates localized suction to increase blood flow and release muscle tightness.
Moxa (Moxibustion) – Applies gentle heat to support circulation and energy balance.
Electro-Acupuncture – Adds mild electrical stimulation to acupuncture points to improve nerve signaling and muscle relaxation.
Gua Sha – Gently scrapes the skin to enhance circulation and relieve soft tissue tension.
Each session is tailored to your body and health needs, combining these approaches to optimize recovery, reduce discomfort, and promote overall wellbeing.

We’ll begin with a detailed discussion about your health history, lifestyle, and current concerns. Some questions may seem unrelated at first, but they often provide important insight into how your body is functioning as a whole.2. Assessment
Your assessment may include gentle observation, palpation, and discussion. Your tongue and pulse may also be checked, which are traditional methods used in Traditional Chinese Medicine to better understand your overall health.3. Treatment Plan & Goals
We will work together to create a clear treatment plan with realistic goals based on your condition, needs, and lifestyle.4. Treatment
You’ll receive acupuncture and, if appropriate, complementary modalities such as cupping, moxa, electro-acupuncture, or Gua Sha. During treatment, you may notice gentle sensations such as tingling, warmth, heaviness, or pressure. These sensations are normal and typically indicate the body’s response to treatment.5. What can acupuncture help with?
Acupuncture can support a wide range of concerns, including pain, muscle and joint issues, stress, sleep and digestive concerns, women’s health, reproductive health, recovery, and immune or autoimmune-related conditions. It can also be used to support overall wellbeing.Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel little to no pain. The needles are extremely thin—about the thickness of a human hair. They are much finer than hypodermic needles or dry needling needles, and sensations are usually mild, such as warmth, pressure, or a dull ache. Many patients find treatments relaxing. What should I expect during my first visit?
Your first visit includes a detailed health intake, discussion of your concerns, and an individualized treatment plan. Treatment time and techniques will be adjusted to your comfort level. How many treatments will I need?
This depends on your condition, your goals, and how your body responds to treatment. Some people notice improvement quickly, while others benefit from a series of treatments over time. In general, acute concerns often respond more quickly, while chronic conditions typically require longer-term care. Even if progress feels gradual, many people notice positive changes such as improved energy, better sleep, and reduced pain. We will monitor these changes together and adjust your treatment plan as needed. Is acupuncture safe?
Yes. Acupuncture is a safe treatment when provided by a registered acupuncturist. Only sterile, single-use needles are used for acupuncture treatments to ensure safety and hygiene.Do I need a referral?
No referral is required. You can book directly for acupuncture treatment. What should I wear or bring to my appointment?
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing if possible. You may also bring any relevant medical information if you feel it’s helpful. Is acupuncture covered by insurance?
Many extended health insurance plans cover acupuncture. Coverage varies by provider, so please check with your insurance company.
